I'm not totally sure of buying something off of AliExpress, and there's not much info from the 5 buyers noted on the product page about how much they like it.

Yes - that's how I arrived at the "About $2k" cost - about 1,250 for the canopy and $752 for shipping.

Looks heavy duty, but for that price I doubt it is. Hopefully someone on here has it and can give you some more info on it.

It like the same material you get when buying a cheap security cabinet. I imagine it dents easily and will arrive flat packed and bent.

It basically looks like an IKEA topper, but instead of being Swedish plywood, it's crappy Chinese "steel". Looks like over 50 cheap nuts/bolts that will come loose every few thousand miles. I would defiantly find someone to weld it together instead of trusting those bolts.

I saw one installed it was cool looking but dude said he had to have it welded because of fitment.

Fitment issue might be better if all bolts and nuts were loosely installed and then slowly tightened watching alignment. Have been sometimes successful doing such.

I’ve purchased from Ali Express before with no issues. You just need to do your research on the seller.

I got a pop up topper from China. It was put together well but (1) The paint job is horrendous (2) they got the measurements all wrong. Much work and a lot of aluminum later it finally fit but had minor leaks and I lost space I should have had. I would not do this again.
*The people/business that facilitated this for me worked a great to correct the issues. Then they got the next on, for one of them and the sizing was even worse.

Which is really recycled rusty material from Cleveland and Detroit.
