Anyone apply Full Matte PPF?

Has anyone put matte paint protection film on their full truck? I have an Atlas Blue EB on order and think it might look cool along with the added protection. I tend to keep cars for a long time (current car is 17 years old).

Does it make your current color look matte or does it change the appearance? I just did clear on first 1/4 of mine. Shines

I have it on the front end of my Shelby it did nothing to the color. I wouldn't do the whole truck

Do you have the matte finish? I work with a few people who have done it to their Teslas (known for paint issues). It really changes the look.

Why bother getting metallic paint then?

If they had a nonmetallic blue I’d get that. I keep going back and forth on Cactus Gray and Atlas Blue for this reason. I really like the blue, but don’t know how it will hold up over time. I think the cactus gray will be more forgiving…but I want blue. Haha

This. On the upper end a Maverick is $40k. You could spend $10k on a full wrap. So unless you don't need money, I'd just live with glossy paint.

It costs that much? I don’t have my truck yet so haven’t looked into it much yet. I just see all the post here about paint and have been seeing these matte Teslas around and thought why not.

It's a couple hundred around me for just the tailgate, and that's probably one of the easiest surfaces.
