Hello,

I have a 2024 hybrid WITHOUT the tow package. Being as that I've never owned a truck I would trust to tow, I have never really considered purchasing a camper before.

Now the time has come for me to rethink that.

Issue is, the lack of towing capacity seems to really put a squeeze on what is available to me option wise.

I would need something that would sleep 4 people (2 of them teenagers) AND an indoor bathroom/shower.

From what I can gather, my only real options are a prolite evasion (IF I carry no gear at all) a Scamp 13' (which I think is too small) or one of the small to mid level ALiners.

Do any of you tow a camper with the hybrid? I'd be curious to know what you have.

Thanks.

That is the reason I traded in my 22 hybrid for a 25 with awd and tow package. I also have a family of 4. Really your only option with not having the tow package would be a pop up. We are looking at the 2026 Jayco Jay feather air sl 17bhsl and Colman 17BX

I'm still somewhat surprised that this forum doesn't feature a sticky thread with a list of compatible campers owned by owners, including weight stats, towable by either 2K and 4K lb capable Mavs.

Heck, I'm somewhat surprised that this forum lacks all kinds of sticky threads and FAQs, pretty much the first forum I've been a member of in a long time that lacks those basic features for foundational education. One thread each for things like towing options, 400W bed socket compatible devices, available summer/winter/AS/AT tires for each rim size, a single stop for how to deal with the 12v battery drama, etc., etc.

The forum has a search function, at least...

Scamp 13 is an awesome depending on your needs.

Not trying to give away the one I'm about to buy but I really like the Catalina Summit 154RBX.

Full dry bath, kitchenette (2025s and on have a 2/3rds fridge and freezer), a high top bar for two, a sofa with a queen murphy above it.

Possibly picking my Catalina Summit 154RBX up on Monday.

the RV industry is in a free fall right now. It’s insane what I’m about to pay for this thing.
