I'm a po' boy and don't camp enough to justify a rooftop tent setup or full-blown camper, but I still like getting out for some overnighters. I splurged on a single size domed Kamp Rite cot tent and cut a couple 2 x 6 boards. I set it up the other day to make sure it'll all work. It's really comfy laying crosswise on the bed, plenty of room for me to fully stretch out my 6'2" frame. The single size also leaves room for my folded tonneau cover up front.

Long story short I'm looking for leveling chocks, with cost being important. Anyone found any inexpensive ones worth recommending?

All I can say is that your Kamp Rite tent cot is awesome. You are really going to like it. Take a tarp with you to extend over the side of the truck and pitch your tent there. Keeps you and the tent dry in the rain especially if you have to tear down in the rain.

Good idea for bringing a tarp.

The cot tent I bought looks like this.

The legs are better suited than the other model for placing on the 2x6 boards in the bed. It's really solid and comfy (7.5' long), but I will be strapping the overhang to the rear wheels in case of heavy winds.

Camco makes a great two piece leveler, it's about $20 at Walmart, will raise you up to 3" ish they also make plastic blocks that look like Legos so you can do front and rear. They're about $30 or you can use 2x6 or 2x8 boards to drive up on but paint them so you can find them in the mud, fire department strings ropes through each block so the cribbing is easier to pull loose, while we used 4x4's to stabilize a wrecked vehicle prior to extraction it's still great while camping. Cheers
