Since it makes it possible to conveniently and cost effectively have a more flexible storage space for items not suited for rolling around in the bed in the elements. Not sure a different truck would be better in this regard, and almost definitely not as fuel efficient.

And Maybe because a bigger truck is $$$$$$ more I like my Maverick but bought it to carry me, i need the rear for tools, etc

Thanks for the idea thread. Mine is on order but I may do the same. Like so many others, the only thing that ever rides on the back of my current vehicle is my dog. Other than that, it is just tools and the essential, a folding chair.
