Where do you see the current Ford rates for A-tier?
If you do a build and price in the website and then go to the finance calculator it gives you what the current rates are for each term.

My Maverick is coming in a week or two and I am trying to get my finances in order beforehand. I know that the finance rates that were locked in for the 2022 order are gone. To get those previous rates you would go into Smart Vincent and select order date or something like that.

Even though there are no incentives right now, when you go for financing, can they still select the order date under Smart Vincent and get the rates that were available back in September 2022? I would imagine those rates are still less than the current Ford rates of 7% and up.

I am trying to decide if its even worth applying for Ford credit if all I can get is the current rates.

TIA
Unless you get a set rate from Ford credit it is a scam because the scumbag finance guy ( or girl ) ( They Them He She pronouns ..... ) will add a few or more points and tell you that is the best Ford can do because Ford Finance is in bed with the dealerships and wont tell you what their actual rate is. Yes indeed they will lie to you. You can however get the best rate from a bank or credit union then tell Scammy Sammy at the dealership if he can beat your best rate you will go with him, her, they them, and you will be told - Whoa !!! no way I could get that low pardner ! I've been thru this dance too many times. Go in with your financing and you wont feel like taking a shower when you leave the dealership from the scum of deceit and lies ..... OK........ but you get my meaning LOL .

Did that and done that - the dealership in no way will give you that rate the
y add points to whatever Ford's rate is and Ford Financing wont tell you - they say we don't deal with consumers you have to talk to the dealership .......

Navy Federal is still at 4.74% for 60 months today. My check from them should arrive via FedEx tomorrow, and I'll take it with me to pick up the car. If I don't cash it, there is no loan, which makes it all easy for the dealer to either match or not. But the hard part is that the interest rate isn't "locked" until the NFCU check is cashed. So I'm hoping the rates stay firm for a week or so.

There is a local credit union that does 4% up to 84 months so I'll see what rate they offer. Also plan on getting one from my current credit union but their rates are higher. Figure I'll take whichever one is better with me to the dealer and see what he can match and if not tell them to piss off and use mine.

Doubt seriously anyone is doing 4% right now.

I can get less than 4% with my local one but it's only for 36 months which I can't do.

When I went into the finance office with a USAA offer, the finance guy didn't bother to look up other interest rates (USAA was 4.84% for 63 months, no early pay off penalty). No pitch for upside down insurance (because I wouldn't upside down on the truck). He tried selling me the wheel insurance, but when I pointed out to him that I would have to replace 4 wheels and tires in the five-year period for it to pay off, he relented. The only other thing he pushed was the Ford extended warranty, but I pointed out that if I did it within the first year, I could get it for the same price. The key to dealing with the finance person is to be an educated consumer and focus on the total price of what they were selling, not how it effects the monthly payment. He looked very disappointed when I left (I was his last customer of the day), but I don't need help spending MY money.

All excellent points. The Ford extended warranty is marked up as well. I've seen case of thousands of dollars mark up for the same plan you can buy from other dealers later
