Any Android Auto experts here? I've been looking for a way to switch the media playback from the Mav's speakers (via Android Auto) to my Bluetooth headphones.

Use case: You're driving down the highway playing your favorite Spotify road trip playlist, but your significant other wants to sleep. You still want to listen to music by switching it from the Mav's speakers to your BT headset (but still have the other Android Auto features available i.e. navigation).

Any thoughts?

Try the media output selection in the pull down menu on your phone. I'm not aware of an Android Auto function on the head unit for this.

You should be able to select phone calls or media or both on each Bluetooth device connected to your phone. (from BT menu)

It's also very important to be able to HEAR what's happening around you. Some cops will give you a ticket for having both ears plugged with earplugs/headphones.

I think in most states it is illegal to use headphones while driving. Not sure about ear buds.
Like someone else posted: You have to be able to hear what's going on around - like that fire truck trying to get by.

The only thing I can figure out is to completely shut down Android Auto on my phone and try to use BT only (and use the Ford Sync navigation).

If you type android auto in your phone it should pull up settings options and you can choose to connect automatically or not. I also want to say there is a menu in the display of the truck that has the same option. Ill poke around and see if i can find it again.
