I will start by saying I like the fact that simple updates to software can be done over the air and not be an inconvenience.

However I am tired of whoever at Ford engineering is in charge of updating the ambient lighting. In my 25 lariat I have a long commute and have everything dimmed low to help with night vision and critter spotting. I like when it works and is at the lowest level barely on and the slider is just above off. But it changes so frequently with all their updates.

The slider may be at barely on but look brighter, select next level up and slider moves, light is same output, move it back to try and get to lower and only off is the option. So I usually just run with it off, and then I'll start the truck one day and the lights have turn themselves back on and I have my setting back of low and sometimes not.

Anyone seeing this?

I have an older Maverick that doesn't allow OTA updates, but I believe all of them store those settings in volatile memory. Just pulling a battery lead off for a few seconds will reset the lighting settings so it's not surprising to me that an OTA update will do this, as some of them will require module reboots.
