Seem to be what the Maverick does when there is heavy rain, I think mine does that somewhat as well. 🤨 Until I saw your video I had no way to know how much volume you were talking about! I've always gotten water dripping on the seats of modern cars when I open the door, but nothing like that.
I'm gonna keep an eye out for that. Next time when it pours I will make a video. I know a lot of people are fine with this but to me it's not acceptable especially when it pours into the cabin like that. Placing a towel in the foot well might do a temp fix but not permanent. I'm gonna find a way to fix it. Not expecting Ford to fix it but that's just me.

Day 4 of owning my hybrid and already running into a couple of issues. First the passenger side door seems to channel the rain from the roof into the main cabin when opening the door. It rained heavily yesterday and today. This can be an issue with molding in the carpet later. I don’t know if there’s a fix for it. Secondly, the latch holding the back seat to the frame did not latch on. And the window seam did not get properly seal from the outside. I posted a few pics to indicate the issues. I guess I gotta make that trip to the service department. Sigh….

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Maverick concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

I was initially dismissive of these posts. Though I will confess, my left rear door gasketing also streamed water after a slow rain. The front, and left rear doors did not. In my specific instance, the truck is parked on a slight sideways slant with the left side slightly uphill. With this tilt, the stream impacts the frame/plastic transition on the door bottom. I will park differently before next rain to check if slope matters. (one week old, all gasketing seems properly affixed; no debris)
