You’ve heard the expression of “putting lipstick on a pig”?

How about “putting overalls on a princess”?

Going to replace my pretty but damaged body color Lobo rear bumper with a black one to finish the look.

I like it. Goes well with your fender flares.
Is this for cosmetic purposes or are you trying to give more protection against door dings? Could be both, right?

I agree, it should be color matched.
What exhaust system did you install?

Borla X-Type. Not to be confused with the Ford Performance Garage Borla Sport. I’d recommend the Sport.

I agree with you and F100Lobo
Maybe I’ll color match the other side that I haven’t installed yet:)

Black Trim/Fender would look good on white, red, or grey truck. Not as good on blue.

Not only too loud - but painfully droney in the cab. It was not tuned properly for the Sport & Lobo modes especially!

I added an $100 resonator/muffler and it sounds great both in & out of truck now.

Cold start is still very loud though. I open my garage just a foot when I start up - open fully once high idle is complete:)

I have added aluminum buty sound deadener to nearly every panel of my Maverick.
I have coverd the inside of the fenders, top half of the tailgate, in the doors, under the rear seat, under the carpet, the roof and the back wall.
I added 4mm foam deadener to back side of the door panels.
I also added the fome over the aluminum butyl under the rear seat and the roof.
The result is better than I expected.
The truck is almost limousine quite.
And the stereo sounds better!

An aftermarket exhaust would ruin your beautiful & skillful work!

I’m impressed with the OEM exhaust now in my garage. I’m thinking of reusing the minimalist resonator “patch” near the tailpipe:

I was wondering what the screen was for. Never crossed my mind that it was a resonator.
