Does anyone know of an aftermarket controllable mirrors that will fit on this maverick.
I did not think I would need them but the wife is taller then me and has to adjust them
every time she gets into the maverick which has turned out to be a hassle.

The biggest thing would be to fit and look electrical hookup or controls would not be an
issue more than the fit. I have seen some new Bluetooth controllable mirrors, but would
not fit this vehicle.

There's no wiring for them, the XL without CP360 has a completely different wiring harness that does not accommodate any wiring to the mirrors or wiring for the mirror controls on the driver's door
I'm not saying it would be easy, but I assumed that OP would have taken that into account. If you're not providing power from the truck, where would you get it? I can't say that I have ever heard of "battery operated" power mirrors. If that's what he's after, I think he's going to be very disappointed in his options.

Running power for the mirrors would be pretty straightforward as they could probably be wired directly into the fuse box and could be set to only work when the vehicle is on. It's not ideal, but it's possible.

Wondering if the wiring for power mirrors are part of the power windows inside the door? XL has power windows. You would have to get different switches and the power mirrors if it does have the wiring.

This is actually better than my idea and would be simpler for power. If there isn't a control wire, like @FakeCowboy said, then you'd still have to run a control wire to the passenger side door if you want to control both mirrors.

It seems like the 'simplest' solution would be to replace the driver's mirror only. Control and power could all be handled in the door. Leave the passenger mirror as fixed rely on a blind spot mirror on that side.

It's really the passenger mirror that the problem of having to lean over
and manually adjusted every time the wife gets in the maverick.

What I really looking for Is power mirrors on both sides with simple controls on the inside.
Just wanted to see if anybody had done this on XL.

I know the ones below don't fit the maverick but I know there's a lot of DYI
Innovators out there are also thinking of this or have done it.

For power, you can run wiring to the interior fuse box under the RF passenger floor carpet after testing for power. If not you can run from under hood fuse box.

Refer to Owner's Manual: Pages 290-298

The issue is what i stated above.
Getting power to the mirrors is not the issue. It's the controls. Do you want to control the passenger mirror from the driver's door? If so, then you'll have to run control wires, however, many there are, from the driver's door, into the truck, behind the dash, out of the truck, and into the passenger door.

Also, you need to buy:
  • the mirrors
  • the the switch
  • the wires and the clips that match
  • a new door handle piece that makes room for the switch.
@FakeCowboy said it above, $300 up front would have avoided all of this.

If the shorter spouse raises the driver's seat as far as it goes and the taller spouse lowers the seat when she gets behind the wheel, can you both agree upon a permanent setting for the mirrors?

It's not the solution you asked for, but the price is right.

Get her a dowel with a cane tip on the end, she can adjust it from the drivers seat, no wiring required.
