Dealership has 10 2024's on the lot. I'm interested in either a lariat or an xlt. This is In PA/NJ/DE area. Both are EB.

Lariat is $37,050 msrp - $1802 employee pricing - $1000 "customer cash" for $34,248. Only upcharge is $495 for red pepper color.

XLT is 34,900 msrp - $1987 employee pricing - $1000 customer cash for $31,913. Has lux package, BAP & 4k tow.

The $1000 customer cash has been listed before the June news of an additional $1k off 2024's. These have been the #'s since mid May.

I've purchased 2 new cars from this dealership in 4 years, also used them for service, so I have the loyalty card to play.

Any idea if there's room for either of these to come down further? If so, how much?

Thanks in advance for all replies.

those left over should be priced at KBB private party with maybe a small premium on top at this point.

All fords get employee pricing and the additional 1k off isnt that great on top.

In the car business, there's always more room for negotiation. That should be your first thought going in.

For more specifics, I bought a 2024 Lariat Tremor at the end of last month and ended up right at 5K off MSRP so, yes, I believe there's more room to negotiate on what you have listed.

Good luck!

Not apples to apples, but I bought a leftover 2024 XLT EB over Memorial Day. Only packages were BAP and full spare. Only dealer add was tint. I was at $28.4 with all discounts (including $1k first responder). I’d guess with the additional packages, the XLT you listed is pretty close.

Both seem like fair prices, the HPR is worth the price, I would not buy either truck without the lux package. Also the XLT doesn't have push button start. Time to negotiate, and decide, maybe something else on the lot to consider?

A few things I have learned buying a new car/truck every 3/4 years and working for a dealer for many years never buy on first visit go back a few times think of questions to ask and leave, wait a few days go back ask some more questions leave, now the salesman knows you're really interested and may give you a lower price Leave, this works with in stock vehicle and hope no one buys it. The 25 model has been out a while so they need to get the 24s off the lot they pay a floor plan every month on these vehicle's it cost them to sit around, always be polite and respectful and if you can time it at the end of the month even better sales get paid by amount they sell and get bonuses. After 3/4 visits l would go in on the day before or last day of month and have gotten cost or below cost if they needed to move the vehicle. And they need to move 24s when 25s are out.

Except they can’t sell many or most of the 2025s on the lot. Which leaves a handful of ā€˜25s outside the stop-sale and whatever 2024s remain. Not saying you can’t get a deal. But the dealers probably aren’t as desperate as you might think.

I agree, I was talking in general how to get the best deal on a leftover in stock vehicle, the stop sale won't last forever, I will bet they still want to get the 24s out the door, from what I have seen in my area some dealers have 2/3 25s and 10/15 24s. I just bought a 25 Lariat hybrid, they tried very hard to get me in a 24 they had about 10 in stock all models, I had a 22 FX4 for 3 years I waited 9 months for back in 21 I only wanted the 25. I got employee pricing plus 700 bucks, I could of done much better on 24.

I know they had employee pricing on them, plus an extra 1000 off. If you are a first responder or if you are a member of Farm Bureau you can get another $500 off. Like others pointed out they can't sell the 2025's on the lot at the moment and it could be Q3 before those get released. They will be able to sell any new inventory they have coming in after the stop sale recall dates however.
