Added a Bedrug

Picked up a bedrug with my Ford points. This, as well as the spray in bed liner and lockable tonneau cover, makes the bed useful for rough stuff or softer things that I don’t want scratched.

You’ll notice in the second picture that I pushed through the bed tie-downs through the pre-cut slits in the bedrug.

Still got a couple more things like installing some power in the truck bed, some lighting, and maybe a bed extender.

For sure! I think we’ll be using it to sit in the bed watching sunsets along the Pacific and some star gazing / Milky Way hunting.

I see they have the full bed coverage bedrug available for the Maverick now. Wish I had the money to get that one.

For those of you who've had the bed rug installed for a while, is there any problem with retaining water under it in the bed? I've got a tonnau cover for my Mav (which I don't have yet11) that I'll put on, but still deciding on whether I want to have a spray-in bed liner and/or bed rug as well.

I didn't have mine out, but with a cover, it will only leak along the sides and the rug has a very small gap to the sides so the water can drain out. I've only ever seen a few drops down the sides of the bed and I do have a cover.

How well are your rugs adhering to the SIBL? I recall others posting that the velcro doesn't stick well.

I just put one of those in my new one too.. I didn't add the spray in liner option when I did the re-order to 2023 but I may later on at Line-X. Really don't need it cause if I need to haul anything destructive or dirty I'll just tow my small trailer and let it take the abuse. Had a Ford tonneau cover sitting around since last summer I bought with our other vehicles Ford points and put it on as well. Fits well once you get it all centered up cause I'm kinda OCD.

Only used the velcro on my tailgate (factory spray in liner). Have a bed cover so I wasn't worried about it blowing out, etc. I've moved some mid sized furniture that wasn't extremely heavy, sliding it in and out - figured the rug would move but it didn't. No problems here with the velcro in my application.

I followed the instructions...scuffed up the SIBL, wiped with soap & water, wiped with alcohol, applied the included adhesion promoter...not issues so far
