Awesome! I have been eyeing the same trailer for my family of 4. What is your setup? Is it a 7 pin? Do you have an anti sway bar? Any other mods or suggestions?

My 22 hybrid has made it from Mile 0 in Key West to the 45 th parallel and Canadian border this year with a trip to Mount Washington on the way. Just crossed 30000 miles with 2 trips to Florida and 2 to the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA. Made a trip to NJ for a load of solar panels and just back from a gambling trip to DE with a load of flooring. Still average about 42 MPG (lifetime) and NO problems.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves. I am waiting for my 2024 Maverick to arrive.

How was the the overall ride, comfortable? Enough room for the back seat passengers?

Just did 36 days across to West coast and back to St. Louis
7100+ miles 2.0 eco averaged 29.6 mpg. (whole trip)
No issues - Mav did struggle a bit across Montana at 80 with
a 20 mph head wind - still got 25 mpg. No trailer but, bed and
back seat loaded pretty full.

Stayed in cheap motels for the most part, Very few reservations.
A few slightly SKETCHY places :bandit::lipssealed::ROFLMAO:

MO, IA, SD, WY, MT, ID, WA, OR, CA, AZ, NM, TX, OK, KS, & back to MO.
115 deg in CA desert (Barstow), 118 deg AZ desert (Lake Havasu) - no issues. Crazy trip
the roads we were on unbelievably BEAUTIFUL!

SD badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Needles Highway etc.
MT Glacier National Park
OR Columbia River Gorge, Highways 1 & 101
CA Highways 1 & 101, Route 66
AZ, NM, TX, OK, KS, MO - Route 66

There is a section of original Route 66 from 1927 in OK you can drive on -
very rough and only 9 ft wide (Ribbon Road, near Miami OK - (pavement 9ft. gravel road is wider)

Hey @Frank McGervey - can you provide any insight on your setup, please? Do you have a 7 to 4 pin converter? Or some other setup? A brake controller? Sway bar? Any other tips?

Looks like more than a few of us are very curious about your setup and would love to know how difficult it is before diving in to pop-up camping.

Hi guys
Yes just finished
9000 mile trip across USA pulling the rockwood tent trailer
Ford didn’t supply a 7 prong hook up ( not sure why when they said it had towing abilities )and wanted 1300.00 to install
U-Haul did for 375.00 and it included the blue tooth connector . Worked like a charm
I was averaging 28 mpg
It pulled that Tralier like it wasn’t even there.
I went up to 10 to 11000 attitude to flat desert 118 degrees weather And the trip was fabulous .
My only complaint if I had one would be the seats after 8 hours of driving dig into back of thighs. It would be nice if the controller could lower the front a little.

Ford Maverick A month and half into trip across the USA (and back) IMG_3421

Nice what is the weight on the trailer? We thought about a tent camper but, I did not want to pull a trailer
as many miles as we were planning. Sounds like it worked out great for you!

I've been eyeing up this exact trailer! How does the wiring work because aren't they 7-pin? And do you have a controller for the trailer brakes?
Hi
The dealer wanted 1300 to 1500 but U-Haul did it for 350 and it has bluetooth
