I run 87+10%E in my two mowers and pressure washer. They sit w/ fuel in the tanks for 4-5 months during the winter. No issues in 10 years+. I believe that modern blends are much more stable than blends were 20 years ago.
That and modern ENGINES are better too because the engine MAKERS know E10 is the #1 most commonly used fuel on the market.

To answer the OP:

93 E10 is better for the planet.
87 no ethanol is better for MPG.
