2026 MTC ROUNDUP at CARLISLE FORD NATIONALS!

AND SO IT BEGINS!​

The Maverick Truck Club Roundup at the huge Carlisle Ford Nationals show in central Pennsylvania has begun!

A handful of us met up on the show field today to set up things at our 20x30 club tent on the Maverick show field. We arranged out tables, dressed them up with black and gold tablecloths, hung our 8x4 club banner, and then hung banners provided my many of our fabulous sponsors, who donated more than $10,000 worth of prizes for our member prize drawing on Saturday morning.

The Roundup started in 2023 when a group of us who "met" on this forum decided to meet up in person at the Carlisle Ford show, which annually attracts more than 3,000 Fords of all types, classic and new.

To do a gathering properly, we needed to have a club tent set up ... and so approached the sponsors of the Maverick Truck Club online. We were totally amazed at their donation of really great Maverick-related stuff ... and we used the prospects of an excellent prize drawing as incentive for people to join us ... And thus got enough people registered to qualify for use of a free tent from the Carlisle folks.

Also, a big shoutout to MTC @Administrator Doug, who has supported this gathering from the beginning and helps make it possible.

Anyway, we are now in our fourth year. If you are within easy driving distance of Carlisle, Pa. (just west of Harrisburg in the south central part of the state), please come see us Friday and / or Saturday during the show. (You can still register at the gate to bring your Maverick onto the field ... or just come as a spectator.)

And yes, we have our own shirts! Each year we sell T-shirts and other MTC-branded stuff on an on-demand store, making a little profit on each purchase that helps pay expenses for the event.

This year, for swag-bag handouts, we have MTC-logo M&MS, a first. And also MTC-logo air fresheners.

The M&Ms are limited edition, and not available ... BUT if you are interested in some other MTC stuff, you can see what we have at the Maverick Truck Club on-demand store.

That's a possibility. I hope you don't mind if I pick your brain over the next year asking about area details (lodging, getting around, etc).

Sure!

— First tip: Register now for 20% discount on showfield registration. If plans change next year, you can get full refund up to 45 days before the event.

— Second tip: Reseve hotel early, as they fill up fast for this event. In Carlisle is ideal, but hotels in Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg area are easy drives, and may be more affordable during shows.

Look for a hotel with a lenient cancellation policy — so you can cancel without charge if needed, at least up until the days before the show.

Or, if you are into camping, you can set up a tent or camper at a Carlisle Events lot just down the street from the show. There are showers at the showfield. (During smaller shows, you can camp on the grounds… but the Ford show is huge, and needs the space.)

That’s the basics — Register for the Carlisle Ford showfield, get you accommodations, put it on your calendar, and plan to come.

I attended the CivicX forum event at tail of the dragon this year with a buddy and I’d love to be a part of getting MTCers together. It was such a great time.

So count me in for next year. Add me to the planning committee. Let’s get a large turnout!!

Yea not too bad of a drive. We intended to come this year but things came up definitely putting it on the calendar for next year tho.
