Picked up my 2025 awd hybrid xlt, 4k tow, copilot, LUX back in January. Just wanted to share my experience.

Fuel mileage was poor at first, I'm in Massachusetts the cold weather days absolutely affected the fuel mpgs. I do mostly short trips, I did let vehicle warm up in driveway longer than my actual commute (3.1 miles each way).

Spring/summer came, and the fuel mileage is better than whats on the sticker. Around town im seeing 50mpg, and the little highways trips I've taken I've averaging 40mpg. Im using 87 octane from Sunoco or Mobile.

I find myself feathering the throttle to squeeze out the hybrid drove/electric to get better results. I do only have now 2800 miles since my purchase.

Two squeaks have surfaced, one appears to be inside, driver side , top of dash kinda where it meets the windshield. Another squeak center armrest.

Haven't towed, but used it a few times to transport my kayaks, a couple home depot runs for some plywood. Im still learning the auto climate and the sync 4 interface. The Fordpass app is junk I feel, the location isnt accurate or hangs.

Acceleration/ merging into traffic is acceptable, braking seems good enough. I do also find there is two awful blind spots from the middle pillars, wish the mirrors were a tad larger. When I bought this I was unsure if I was going to like this sized vehicle coming from a Dodge 2500 quad cab, 4x4, plowtruck. I do, its easy to park much better MPGs, and easier for me to get in and out of. I now wish I bought a lariat to have the extra options. So ill be looking to trade this in, most likely in a few years after the next refresh.

Until then, enjoy the benefits of what cloth seats offer. I'm okay with the mirrors just wished they offered extending mirrors, to be extended when towing. Hope you continue to enjoy your new truck.

Then again maybe by the time you trade it in. Ford just might offer cloth seats on the upper trim level, instead of vinyl or fake leather, being the only material offered.

Why are you trying to warm it up in the driveway? That's seriously killing your winter mileage. Just start it and drive it away. With the advent of better oils, vehicles have not needed to be warmed up since about the early 90s. If you need the interior warming up for some reason, just turn on the seat and steering wheel heaters that are way more efficient than waiting for engine coolant to warm up.
