I'm not complaining, but figured I would post since I think it's pretty interesting how many times my build date has changed in the past week. I have an order for a 2023 XL (with zero options, NONE!), that I placed on 09/16/2022 as a non-rollover, brand new order. I was surprised when I received an email on 11/03 saying I was scheduled for production on the week of 12/05/2022.

Fast forward a bit to last week, I used the Ford chat to check on the status, and was told My build date was now updated to 12/09/2022. No big deal, that's still the week of 12/05. A few days later I check again for the hell of it, it changed to 12/07, even better! I checked again on 11/26, and the build changed back to 12/09. This morning 11/29, I checked again, and they said it moved back to 12/07 for build. After lunch, I log into my Ford account, and now the status has changed to "In Production". I fire up the chat again, and now they are saying 12/05 for the build date.

In my mind this means that they are either:

1 - able to churn out more than they thought, and things are running smoothly

2 - there are still a ton of part shortages, and all of the XL-base trims with no options are jumping ahead of schedule to fill time in while they wait for parts.

Either way I am very happy, and hopefully it is built next week and gets here within the quoted 6 week time. I just sold my Jeep Gladiator while the valuation was high(er than it should be). I'll be daily driving my 986 Boxster with winter tires until I get my mav.

I have had a similar experience: build week 11/28 then 11/30 then 11/28. My belief is that the customer service rep is misreading the information on their screen. I think some reps are interpreting the "build week" as the "build day" and others are actually looking at the "build day".

So with no options, this is a hybrid?

that was my thought as well, but I confirmed again this morning. Build date still slated for 12/05 and I confirmed that way the production date, not just the build week.

Update - 12/01 chat says that the vehicle has entered production and is currently being built. Window sticker was received yesterday, with an invoice date of 11/29.
