Put a few strips of 2" wide 3M reflective white tape in a few locations... either side of rear tires and just below the front amber marker light. In the triangle depression at the bottom outer edge of the front doors so they reflect when opened. Should make the vehicle much more noticeable in profile and help prevent others from getting door'd.

Aaaaand some strategically placed tape just below the 3rd brake light assembly on the glass in line with the rear-view mirror. There is a 2"+ dead zone that doesn't interfere with seeing out the back glass, so you can't see it from inside the vehicle. And if someone has their brights on, well.... they'll suffer for it and maybe get a clue that they should be more considerate in the future. Or maybe they'll just decide to pass instead.

Ford Maverick 3M Diamond grade Conspicuity retroreflective tape 20260312_200124

3M™ Diamond Grade™ Conspicuity Markings Series 983 (“Markings”) are highly retroreflective microprismatic
markings designed to enhance the visibilities of the sides and rears of vehicles. The Markings consist of prismatic
lenses that are formed in a transparent, synthetic resin, and sealed and backed with a pressure sensitive adhesive
and clear polymeric liner. The Markings are highly durable, providing up to ten years of field performance. The
Markings have excellent angularity, which provides enhanced visibility for drivers.

Thats a great idea with that tape being retroreflective. I have loads of DG3 at work.

I've got rolls of green to match my Maverick but still not tempted to do it.

They offer quite a few colors but I went with white as the primary purpose was to provide a stark reminder to those behind me about proper headlight adjustment and hi-beam usage and the white has the most reflectance by quite a bit. I'm probably going to add some strips to the inside perimeter of the tailgate so that it's more visible when left in the down position in the dark.

They have some fluorescent/retroreflective ones as well that will glow in the dark for a while that would look pretty neat while passing through a tunnel or some such.
