358 days and counting :-(

OK people. I fully admit that this is just a bitty session but I've got to do it. I need some advice. I placed my order in mid July '21. The order was confirmed on the 17th. The truck wasn't built until May and the estimated delivery was last week. Still no truck. I ordered this truck specifically for a vacation that is coming up at the beginning of August. I am hopeful that it will actually be here in time for that but then there are the recalls that need to be done and I want to get a spray-in before my trip. The dealer has no information for me.

Level with me... for those of you who have been to this particular rodeo, what are the odds of actually getting to go camping in my new truck this year?

I would think you will get to go camping in your Mav this year. However, if you are planning on camping anywhere up North, you may want to go ahead and get some good winter camping/clothes gear!!

And the answer is NOPE! Ford chat says the truck is sitting and waiting for delivery by Aug 6th... at which point I'll be 450 miles away and I'm 100% sure that they won't hold the truck for me for a week when they can sell it for a markup.

I don't see any point in accepting delivery at this stage of the game. I put in my order 54 weeks before I wanted to use the truck and Ford let me down. Hard. Maybe I'll just order a '23. It's not like I can't wait another year.

Don't lose hope yet! Ford chat told me it would be at the dealer by July 6th and I ended up picking up on June 14th! Just hope the planets align and it gets off the train and on to a truck quickly

I can see about 5,000$ reasons to accept the delivery. Tell them to hold it for you until you get back. Then buy it. Keep it or sell for a profit, it's up to you at that point.

it took me 366 days from order confirmation (7/7/21) to call from dealer that my truck was ready. It’s close. You will have to wait a few extra days, cause they’ll be doing the recall service right away. I bought my truck on the 9th, but I didn’t get to drive it home cause of the recall. Hopefully I get it tomorrow.
i got mine for MSRP and interest rates from last year, so managed to get 0%. I see it as a consolation prize for waiting so long. Hopefully yours comes in soon. I can’t wait to take mine camping.
