Well, I am back. I had a 2024 Maverick XLT Hybrid that I traded for a Ranger Raptor last January and naturally as soon as I did that gas prices went nuts. So, I just purchase a new Mach-E GT and I figured since that will make everything feel slow, now my Raptor is just a pain. Yes it is cool and its a lot faster than a Maverick, but its a pain to get out of with the super wide running boards (so you drag you calf down the edge each time OR have to perform an odd exit maneuver because it isn't tall enough for steps but is too tall to step into), mpg is worse, getting stuff in and out of the bed is harder (trash runs to the recycling center, Lowe's, etc.) so I decided to go back to a Maverick. I missed my old one the entire time and just regretted trading it overall. In truth, it was the vehicle my beloved Dachshund took her last ride in before she passed so once that happened I just couldn't own that truck anymore, the memories were just too painful. I wanted a Maverick that was different and yet the same and this one is perfect. Different color, trim, engine, interior, gauges, nav screen, etcetera.
So now I am back, took delivery of the Maverick last night. This one is a loaded EcoBoost which I love so far. I loved my XLT but I am enjoying having the sunroof, sliding rear window, B&O, etc in this new one. It's good to be back.
