Well, after spotting it on the lot two days ago, I just went to the dealer this morning to finally pick up my 2022 Ford Maverick Lariat after ordering six months ago. I had such a wonderful experience at my dealership: Mullinax Ford of Vero Beach. My salesman, the pre-owned inventory manager, and general manager were all a pleasure throughout the whole sales experience. All were knowledgeable, well accommodating, pressure-free, and gave me several payment options that were within my budget. Also, the best thing was NO DEALER MARKUPS. I got the vehicle at MSRP without a whole lot of money down which is fantastic considering all the horror stories on this forum from other dealers. Mullinax does not take kindly to other dealers' markups and abides by their upfront pricing and no dealer fees despite the current vehicle market. I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone in the South Florida region or to their many other dealers across the state.
I absolutely adore this little trucklet. I've been driving it all day getting more comfortable with it and it drives phenomenally well. Very little road noise and engine noise with great insulation and in help by the acoustic windshield. The interior layout is so awesome and unique, nothing like any other vehicle out there. All the different colors and textures is just fantastic. The touchscreen is very responsive, almost like an iPhone. It's got plenty power for passing and from a dead stop. It doesn't even compare to my slug Tacoma with a V6. Also, the auto start-stop is pretty seamless. You can barely tell when the engine is turned off or turned back on. I know it's a controversial feature but Ford does a good job making the best out of it considering many others (I'm looking at you Subaru) don't do such a good job.
The overall design is absolutely gorgeous. It's such a looker. I'm already getting stares at it on the road because it's such an uncommon vehicle. Also the Area 51 is such an eye-catching color that grabs everyone's attention. Every time when I go out, I always feel special considering I'm probably the only one in town driving a Maverick at any given time to begin with! Seriously! These trucks are unicorns!
I just couldn't be happier with my purchase! I'm so glad I got this over the Hyundai Santa Cruz or Nissan Frontier. More reviews and pictures are bound to come. Until then, thanks for tuning in.
