If it doesn't have -RM, as in xxx 6006 -ARM, that RM indicates ReManufactured -- so this appears to be a new long block assembly...

So the Ford Case manager just called to follow up on the Engine replacement. I Told them everything was good.

They then gave me a 3 year/36,000 mile extended Warranty for no charge.

Has anyone heard of this? I asked again, No charge, only a $100 deductible if I made any claims.

Yes, they do that to give people peace of mind...I have an Escape here for the same concern, verified the replacement engines ARE new, not reman!!
