22 Maverick XL work truck

First post. Gets about 32 combine with the aluminum rack. 15k miles. Got in October. Has been a great little workhorse for roof inspections. Picked up my new personal xlt last week.

Great looking work truck. Looks like it was made for your job. Could you imagine what kind of mileage you would be getting with other vehicles due to the nature of your business? Great choice like everyone who chooses Mavericks. I know - someone will come back and say they did not like theirs, so I would say get rid of it and get what you like.

It makes me happy seeing Mavericks being used as work trucks. There is definitely a need for a small pickup that gets great gas mileage.

The use of an overhead rack highlights the underestimated 199.7" length of the truck. The 53.3" original bed length isn't a lot by itself.

It's also nice being able to reach the items on the rack. My only complaint is our compact ladders don't lay flat in the bed.

I met a guy this week who works on garage doors. He was asking me about the Maverick. He says he spends $90 a day on gas for his Silverado that he currently has. I told him a Maverick would save him considerable money in comparison. I just had to inform him that he will need to order in July and hope for the best!

Nice work truck, how tall is your compact ladder, I just curious, I have same ladder, I wandering if it feet in the bed, I'm still waiting for my maverick.

As for the compact ladder, maybe you could DIY a couple of hooks on the driver side of the rack to hang and secure your compact ladder on it.

I guess I could. I'd probably put something under the rack to keep the wind resistance lower. The truck averages 32mpg with the ladder on top.
