2025 Maverick Lariat

Well, I went from a 2005 Subura Baja to a 2022 Ford Maverick, but wanted awd, so on August 1, ordered the 2025 Ford Maverick hybrid awd. I realized that I was not in love with my Maverick as I had been with my Baja because no awd feature. I knew that I would be selling the 2022 as soon as i got the 2025, but did not realize the high demand for my 2022 and had it for just over 2 years with about 22,000 miles when I started getting inquiries about selling it. To make a long story short, my mother has a vehicle that I can use until I get my 2025 so after more than a dozen offers, I sold my 2022 for about $1,100 less than I paid for it the day before Thanksgiving. The weird thing about all of this is on Thanksgiving day, I received an email from the dealership about 2025 Mavericks being available and my vin number for my 2025 was shown as being in transit and available for purchase. I sent an email to the salesperson and he responded that day telling me of the error in availability, in transit or even built. Since my 2022 took 1 year 4 months to get here, I am not worried, but thought it was interesting. Yes, I knew I probably could have gotten more from the sale but I am happy so no worries.

i felt that way about parting with my Frontier... I knew I could have gotten more as it sold the very first day I listed it... However... a 71 year old handman bought it... I though to myself... man I wouldn't want to have to work as a handyman in to my 70s.... I hope this inexpensive truck serves this guy well...

I'm in my early '70s and fortunately planned ahead enough so that I don't have to work. But I know a lot of people my age and even some in their '80s who are still working, because they have to to get by.

Well to continue the story, the day before Christmas, I received a phone call from my salesperson telling me my Maverick appeared at their dealership without warning, so when Ford said it was in transit on the dealer's website, it really was. The salesperson had to hide it in storage as there were things that had to be done before I could pick it up and he had everyone coming to see it, and I was leaving town until the end of the year, so I did not want to pick it up anyway (well I wanted to pick it up but couldn't). He sent some pictures, and I noticed that neither the hybrid, nor the AWD are labels on the back and the license is on the right hand side.

I have the original Area 51 color. (Glad since I am NOT a fan of metallìcs).
Yes, they seem to have dropped appling the tailgate badges...

The new truck looks great Linda the 25s look so much cleaner, I much prefer that blue and tan interior over the old brown gaudiness.

I still don't understand how hilarious don't have a power passenger seat. Let us know how the new single beam LED projector low and high beam output is. Photos would be great.
