The spec sheet on the 2025 Maverick states that the Lariat and Tremor have LED Tail lamps. Does anybody know if the taillight module would be interchangeable with a '23 Lariat? Is this toooo much to hope for, since nobody seems to be able to make a LED lamp that will work with the Lariat?

Just a thought...

Probably can be done but I'm sure you'll have to rewire something, possibly add a module and or changes within forscan.

Tail lights are the same as 24
Pretty sure they are still using halogen lamps (led accent lighting)

At least they look the same to me, but what do I know

Man I hope you're wrong. That would be silly that you get new LED projector style headlights for the lariat and tremor trims, but the tail lights are the same as previous years with just an accent 2" LED strip.

While the XL and XLT trims get LED headlights but light scattering halogen style headlight houseings.

Current LED headlights are excellent purpose designed lights

There are lots of LEDs that work in Lariat tail lights, you just have to add a resistor or make a change in the computer (Forscan in this case), like nearly every other vehicle out there. I'm running Diode Dynamics bulbs with one change in Forscan they work perfect.

I've been considering Forscan, but I'm thinking it's gonna be one of those buy it, use it once to configure what I want, then I don't touch it again. I'm not much of a tinkerer, but there have been a few threads where folks have posted some pretty cool things to do with it, however. Maybe that'll be the way forward...

I'm also not a wiring guy. My wife would tell you that I'm the guy that cuts the blue wire when I should have cut the red wire, thus blowing up the house. I've seen the tutorials regarding adding a resistor, but really would want someone who's done it before to help out. At least to make sure I don't cut the blue wire. Maybe when I have time I'll see if someone in my area has a little free time...

I think Forscan is the better option for sure. The best cable to use it is about $40 and the program is free on a trial basis. It literally takes about 1-2 minutes to make the change and then you're done and can use whatever LEDs you want. If you were in my area I would do it for you. I bet if you post in the local area of the board you can find someone who would help.

Thanks for the tip - gonna have to check out Forscan. Didn't know there was a free trial and it might be worth the $40 to see if there's more value than a one-and-done.
