2025 add on Keypad programming question

has anyone else purchased a 2025 Mavericks and have the $225 add on key pad?
the Maverick i bought yesterday has one and the master code works but direction say you can add a personalized code but the directions aren’t easy to follow and I can’t set mine personalized code.
any help?
Ford Guy doesn’t know and i can’t find a video that’s any help.

5 seconds to enter a personal code and activate seems rather ridiculous - what’s the rush?

Type in master code. Hold the 1/2 button until led flashes. Type in new code. It was easy. Also after I bought my keypad dealer charged me $30 to program it to my truck.

The dealer price for programing it initially is $56 these days. And you can't do it yourself. There are greater injustices in the world, but it's still a little irritating that you can't just program the initial paring to the truck yourself.

they are not hard wired any longer. the battery is not replaceable. i've seen people say they've lasted 10+ years. it doesn't work like a key fob and only sends a signal when you use it, so it doesn't need to keep power going as much.
