2024 Maverick XLT

I just picked up my 2024 Maverick XLT today, traded in my 2019 Jeep Compass as it reached the point every time I went for service, "next time it will need this and about $300." My wife has almost paid her vehicle off so we decided to replace my vehicle. Anyway, I picked up a 2024 XLT Cactus Gray, with the XLT Luxury package, 4K towing, co-pilot360. Kind of plain truck but exactly everything I wanted and nothing I didn't "need". I live in Wisconsin, going to get my Ham radio installed soon and figure out where to go from there. Does anyone know what the cable is that is in a bag in the glove box with plug on one end and two wires? I don't have it handy right now to get the info numbers off the label but just found it when going through the glove box.

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your new Maverick. The lead can be used in access panel on both sides of bed at the pillars on either side of the tailgate to use 12v accessories. You should also have a funnel that will allow you to use a gas can or additives to the fuel door. I think and hope you truly enjoy your new truck.

I got started on some mods for it. Slowly installing my Ham Radio using rubigrid for head, body of radio is going behind rear seat. Antenna is fender mounted on passenger side not optimal but works for my application. Decals for the hood and TuffSkinz ordered for rear tailgate. Tonneau cover installed and factory splash guards.

Let us know how the decals last in the Wisconsin winter and summer......I am also looking at decals.... some others have had issues in durability so I am hesitant in pulling the trigger......

Yeah I am a little concerned with just washing and waxing. But I think for the $10 I paid for them I can replace them if they get bad.

Put my TuffSkinz letters on reflective matte black and I put the sill guards in to use up what was left of my points. My LED strips for in the bed showed up just waiting for the corn sweat heat to go away from Wisconsin so I can install those and finish my ham radio install. My strips I ordered are 25 inches long Tecniq brand. They have a lifetime warranty and are what are installed in compartments on our fire/EMS vehicles.
