Over the past 2 weeks I was on vacation (killing little clay targets in southern Illinois) and my Maverick was used daily to drive, generally, short distances (a mile or two) 5-10 times a day, back and forth on the event grounds, and once or twice during the week into town which is about 6 miles.

Near the end of last week, a few things started happening.

The dome lights would not go on when I opened the door, and the passenger door unlocking/locking mechanism wouldn't work (where you stick your hand into the door handle with the fob in your pocket, and it unlocks, nor would it lock when I touched the top of the door handle), and a few times the (dealer add-on) keypad wouldn't unlock the door.

However, today it all works fine.

I seem to recall having gotten the "Remote features disabled to preserve battery" message.

I assume this all went away because I drove it 300 miles on Saturday and now the battery is back to being fully charged???

Your truck went into sleep mode. Dome lights and other features don't work when in sleep mode. It sucks

My 22 Maverick Lariat quit locking and unlocking the doors by touching the door handle with the fob in my pocket. It was a pain to have to get the fob out and unlock the door every time. My Ford dealer wanted $160 to trouble shoot the problem, as it is out of bumper to bumper warranty w/ 40K miles. I just now disconnected the 12 volt battery and let it set for a few minutes and reconnected the cable, and now the door locks work. I'm glad because I figured Ford would surely do a recall on something lock related sometime soon, and maybe I could get it fixed for nothing. Now I don't have to wait for a recall.

Drivers side or passenger side? Passenger side would be Deep Sleep. Driver's side there's an SSM to update the BCM (if you haven't had any of the turn signal recalls, those would also update the BCM for free).

SSM 50939

2022 Maverick - Front Driver Door Can Not Be Unlocked Using Intelligent Access - Built On Or Before 13-May-2022

Some 2022 Maverick vehicles built on or before 13-May-2022 may exhibit a condition where the front driver door can not be unlocked using the intelligent access (passive entry feature). This may be due to the software in the body control module (BCM). To correct the condition, reprogram the BCM module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
