Has anyone found out if Ford has a Technical Service Bulliten on the incessant speaker grill rattle from BOTH the left side and right side speaker grills? The rattle is so loud that it makes an otherwise beuatifully quiet vehicle uncomfortable to drive because all one can think about is the rattling from the two speaker grills. If my wife and I press down slightly on the grills the rattle stops, until one lets go and the rattle is back again. I want to be able to take it our Lariat into our dealer and let them know to pull a particular TSB # (if you have that from previous interactions) and make the Ford repair on this. Ford simply has got to have a permanent fix for this.

There is a write up about this. If you are refering to the speakers up near the windshield, simply get a small piece of card stock and shove it in the cracks until you find the crack that is causing the noise. You can actually cut a piece small enought to where it can't be seen.

Hopefully this is helpful.

We're not putting a piece of carboard into a speaker grill. Yes it is the two upward facing speakers near the A columns. We live in the Mojave Desert. We wouldn't want 110 F sun setting fire to a piece of paper on the dash. Looking for what Ford is doing to all of these having this common problem.

I am not having the problem you have. If you are concerned that cardboard which burns at 451 F. [thank you Ray Bradbury] will ignite, try using a product known as "doeskin". It is thin fabric used to prevent blisters in shoes. Make a soft plastic tool from an old credit card to maneuver it into place. Personally, I would keep my Mav as far away from the dealer as possible. And I assume you use a sun shield to protect your dash?
