I am dolly towing my 2023 Maverick Hybrid. The dolly mfg. says chains are optional - I'd like to use them. Does anyone have a suggestion about where to connect the safety chains to the truck?

For reasons not fully explained, the hybrid is NOT RECOMMENDED for dolly use.I am dolly towing my 2023 Maverick Hybrid. The dolly mfg. says chains are optional - I'd like to use them. Does anyone have a suggestion about where to connect the safety chains to the truck?
Here's a U-Haul video, where they show a 2nd set of safety chains between the dolly and the vehicle. Not any frame to work with on the Maverick, a lot of under-body covers, so maybe a control arm?Chains usually go from tow vehicle to Dolly or vice versa . towed vehicle usually has tire straps that go over both front tires strapping it to Dolly .
Or maybe this is a contributing factor why dolly tow is not recommended. Here's a U-Haul video, where they show a 2nd set of safety chains between the dolly and the vehicle. Not any frame to work with on the Maverick, a lot of under-body covers, so maybe a control arm?

FWD seems OK per the manual. The Hybrid ONLY talks about flat towing.Or maybe this is a contributing factor why dolly tow is not recommended.
And the OP has a Hybrid.FWD seems OK per the manual. The Hybrid ONLY talks about flat towing.

I understand, but doesn't a Hybrid FWD have the same rear axle as the Gas FWD? Seems like being able to dolly-tow EITHER FWD model should be possible? And the OP has a Hybrid.
Not if the computers and sensors are different and I think they are. One person had the electric parking brake activate while on a dolly. Smoked the brakes on the rear.I understand, but doesn't a Hybrid FWD have the same rear axle as the Gas FWD? Seems like being able to dolly-tow EITHER FWD model should be possible?

I have over 20k towing on my 22 Lariet EB2.0. The safety chains go over the top side of the lower control arm. No issues. Thanks for the reply.
I have the vehicle "strapped" to the dolly with the over-the-tire straps. Many people recommend that you also use safety chains as a failsafe while towing. The issue is that I have not read where to attach these chains to the vehicle. In the Owner's Manual -in the "Recovery Towing" section there is talk about "Winching Holes" -> I was wondering if this is the preferred place to attach the safety chains...
It makes sense you CAN with a FWD vehicle.I do wish that Ford would chime in on this topic and provide an authoritative answer and if Dolly Tow is NOT available - explain why. (FMC, are you out there?)
This is the documentation I talked to FMC Customer Service about. They confirmed, to me (in writing) that the information was correct. You can either Dolly Tow -OR- Flat Tow the 2023 Maverick Hybrid. This is what I am going by and will be towing my 23 Hybrid to Mississippi in the coming weeks. If I end up damaging something, I will be sure to post. I am not expecting any issue as I have already done a "test" tow with the setup.
