UPDATE: Ended up dropping my truck off at the dealership to see if they could figure out this issue. I was going to drain/fill the transmission but wanted to have them take a look first before I did anything that could violate warranty.

They returned the truck after 8 days saying it had a "Clean bill of health". The truck still drove funny but I thought I was being paranoid.

I decided to put the car up and do a drain/fill and after pulling the fill plug, about 1.5-2 quarts of ULV drained out of the transmission... out of the FILL PLUG.

I'm setting it back to correct levels now, but I am suspecting this is the culprit. I imagine there's just way too much pressure in the transmission with it being ~2 quarts overfilled while cold.

EDIT: I do know that you're supposed to get the trans up to operating temp when filling, maybe this was why so much came out? Not sure, but the car drives much better now after draining/filling.
