I ran in to the same. On a day trip at 85mph I only got 28mpg. Did a test on a 5 mile stretch out side my home, at 80+ 28mpg at 70 32mpg and at 60 36-38 mpg. Hybrids are made for in town low speed stop and go traffic not highway driving. That said I am very happy with mine. Name another truck that gets better than 30mpg 99% of the time. ATM I'm about to hit 4000 miles and total mpg is 37. This is on a 40% rural, 40% highway, 20% town driving.
Any issues with yours? I just received mine this past saturday, i have an annoying dash rattle near drivers side but thats it in 150 miles

Great MPG on our first (just over) 1/2 tank

this includes interstate, lots of in-town, plus highway, and roughly 60mi towing an (empty) car-hauling trailer 55mph, and hauling around some furniture.

I'm closing in on 4000 miles and so far no problems. Over all I'm getting 37mpg at this point, but its going up a little,

Only issue is with my phone, I need to unlock it before plugging it in, minor issue and don't know if its the phone, Android auto or the info center. But its a easy fix for now.

I do agree if you like your music loud the speakers are weak, but for now they work, may upgrade them at some point.

very happy with the Mav overall and the only way I will replace it is with a plug-in hybrid.

I noticed a significant difference in mpg on the highway as well (Florida I95 70mph+). I normally just drive to and from work and have been putting it in eco mode because I like the way it slows down when you lift off the throttle. I'm averaging over 50mpg in town for the past 1000+ miles (see dash picture). On the highway I was getting around 37mpg.
Ford Maverick 150 miles @ 75 mph, 29 mpg. No bueno. 20220512_190856

I have a formula to calculate optimal speed which I use each morning before work. Everyone/every vehicle will have its own coefficients, but the variables include:

Drag coefficient
Wind speed/direction
Engine thermal efficiency
Tire size and pressure
How late I am
How much I give a shit about global warming that day
The idiocy of the other drivers I meet
Current geopolitical situation and its potential impact on oil price
If I got shit to do

I drove 200 miles on highways, on a quarter of tank. About 47 mpg. But I don't drive 75 mph - I drive the California speed limit (slow - 55-65) to keep my mpg higher. I have about 3000 miles on my truck now and am averaging 42.5 mpg driving to work on highways most of the time.

He's getting 45 in city...near 35mpg on highway at 70...but geez at 400k I'd be happy with it...
