I received my 2023 XLT Maverick Hybrid in December 23, since then I have put 6400 miles on it mostly my normal routine driving. This past weekend we did 1300 miles over a period of 5 days. Just a few observations from the trip.

First of all I was very happy with the truck the whole trip except for one big annoyance....

Seat Comfort - I still wish these seats were a little more comfortable. I loved the seats in my 2014 Nissan Rogue that I spent 10 years and 213K miles in. The first 24-48 hours of having the Maverick I was really concerned about the seats because they were really bugging me and didn't know if it was going to work. After playing with the adjustment for a while I finally got it in a spot that seemed to be ok. All in all on this trip I was pleasantly surprised that I was ok with the seats the whole time. I never felt like 'oh these seats are driving me crazy'. My wife commented that it was different feeling but did not complain about the seats. Our longest stretch in the truck was 10 hours.

MPG - 1st fill up was around 475 miles and fuelly calculated 37.5 mpg. This was mostly sticking to the speed limit and probably averaging 70-75MPH the whole time and I drove that whole way. The 2nd fill up was around 420 Miles before heading back home and my wife drove about half of this and she always has a heavier foot than me and ended up at 34.2 mpg. She has a lot quicker acceleration off the line than me and really punches it when passing. So pretty nice we were still above EPA for HWY on these two tanks. 3rd fil up was less than 100 miles to home and we had gone about 410 miles with 31.0 mpg. This was the get home phase and was averaging probably 77-82 mph, it was very windy for about half of it.

Infotainment - This was a big sore spot. When we used apple carplay it would only stay connected maybe an hour and you couldn't immediately get it reconnected so we only ended up being able to use to a very small part of the trip. On car play, blutooth, and even just radio every so often it will go silent for about 2 seconds and then come back. Occasionally it will lose connection to my phone in general. All in all it's close to being an annoyance more than a benefit to use carplay, and connections in general. Not sure there is or will be a way to update/upgrade in the future but I would gladly pay to have something that worked more consistently.

Good review. Your mileage wasn't that great, though. You can enable/use the EV Coach and Brake Coach to teach you how to drive, to get better Hybrid mileage. Eventually, you don't need them and they can be disabled. Probably no help for the spouse, though. :)

I have an Android phone and it works perfectly with both AA and bluetooth. It connects to the truck and starts playing music within 10 seconds of turning on the truck. Make sure you are using a high quality USB C cable from either your phone manufacturer or a known good brand like ANKER (on amazon). The cable can make a huge difference in reliability.

Yeah, I actually think it did decently as for MPG for highway and the higher speeds we were going. The last tank was pretty windy also so I think that had an impact.

I can't remember for sure but I think I am using an apple cable with it but will have to check. I have seen on here someone mention deleting the phone and wifi and resetting up helped them but have not tried it yet.
