I bought the Buschur's catch can for my 2.0 EB. After 12,000 miles this is what came out. I check every 1,000 miles and it took 12,000 miles for something to come out. I am not knocking the catch can. I drive extremely conservatively. Maybe if you drive more aggressive you will get more.

I mean i suppose it better in the can than burnt and coating your combustion chamber and valve seals simutaniously increasing compression and blow-by and cascading into a worse and worse situation?

At this rate it would be 200,000 miles before any adverse effects.

Its a Ford. I expect 300,000 miles out of it with care.

I have taken several to that level or near.

That doesnt seem right. My 2.0 eb Fusion with JLT can collects about 2oz every 3k miles. In the winter it needs to be emptied weekly due to condensation.

Is it tying into the same locations/similar design?

I remember from one of the buschur threads that some other cans were venting from a different location or something.

Mine gos from the pcv valve to the can and back to the intake manifold. It catches everything blowing out the pcv. Sounds like the only thing this vented system is collecting is your money.

I've said it before - don' t expect these devices to be engineered by, you know, engineers. What you're mostly gonna get is the H20 part of combustion gasses.

This topic has been discussed to death. Go look at the thread ahead of the Burschur can where he chimes in. Gets a little heated. At the end of the day, if you want to "can" your Mav, you should do 2 of them. One up top keeping crap out of the turbo (Burschurs design) and one down low on the PCV (JLTs design).

JTL catches crap at the PCV. This one doesn't. Different placement. Debating which is better is apparently a touchy subject based on older threads on this board. The "correct" answer is that you should do both if you really want to catch everything.

If the vented is eliminating the psi in the case it wont push anything out anyway.
