Kudos to them. It was nice.
I live on 28 acres about 9+ miles from 5 light town, wife went in, meetings, groceries, I held the fort. Had real good quiet day. Happy Veterans Day. I am Army, Vietnam light infantry medic, attached to marines during "14 days at Nhi Ha" "gig". Plus front line army stuff for whole year.I live in a Military town so I avoided the free food and 3 hour waits. Thanks and happy Veterans Day!
God Bless, glad you made it home.I live on 28 acres about 9+ miles from 5 light town, wife went in, meetings, groceries, I held the fort. Had real good quiet day. Happy Veterans Day. I was blessed. Got scary when it seemed like I could walk to where I wanted with my hands in air just like Richard Nixon and all would miss. One day a round ricocheted off my rifle, another through collar of my shirt (???) and yet another took off the lid of one of my canteens. It seemed to work out better when a guy who just got killed had his buddy repeatedly asking me "why wasn't it me" to respond with "it was his day not yours take something to his wife or mother or write them something" was much better than "you just got lucky, I guess". Then ask him to help the new guy when he showed up.God Bless, glad you made it home.
