My understanding is that federal regulations currently do not allow auto leveling lights. Reportedly, BMW (and others) have this for Europe, but have to disable this feature to sell in the USA.

24 XLT; don't think I've ever been flashed. Many of the newer cars have lights that are very focused, so coming over a hill the low beams hit you in the eyes.

The brakes on my 2024 EB work just fine. Very comparable to our RAV4 which also has great brake feel.

A manual air horn -- I like it!

Great habit to get into -- then jump into a different vehicle and watch it roll away because you didn't put it in park. I see this as a safety feature, but not something to set a habit by.

I wired a 3 second time delay relay from the existing horn to activate the air horn. Hold the horn button down for more than 3 seconds, and the air horn chimes in. This makes wiring simple by not needing a second switch for the horn.

I doubt it, but someone who knows what's behind the front bumper would be better to answer. These newer cars/trucks use every inch of space for crumple zones and foam.

I asked the company that installed our panels; he said they would remove them and reinstall after the new roof was in place. In our case, the panels cover most of the side of the roof that sees the sun, so in my mind they protect the roof from most of the heat from the sun, hopefully making the...

I never thought I'd like push-button ignition, but our RAV4 came with it, and now I like not having to mess with a key. Kind'a wish my 24 XLT had a push-button ignition switch.

We live at the bottom of Fancy Gap Mountain, so in most vehicles I hold it in a gear or two lower. But on the Maverick EB, the only choice is "L" which in my mind shifts to way to low a gear -- I often have to press the go pedal to maintain speed. Why did they take away the ability to choose...

Something else we seldom see -- two-tone paint from the factory.

A fellow truck driver got in a minor accident in NYC. Our company required a police report for any type of accident. He called 911, they asked "was anyone hurt" when he answered "no" they just hung up on him.

It's hard to find places to do body work on Vetts. I painted mine and found it was very hard to smooth out any valleys because there are really no flat places on the body so I couldn't use a straight sanding block, just mostly hand sanding.

The first time I got in the bed, I knelt on the tailgate then tried to get up from there. Hurt my knees and struggled to stand up. Next time I used a ladder. Getting older is a chalenge.

When I bought my 2024 I got the bumper to bumper warranty. I had slight second thoughts, but the piece of mind was well worth it, even if I never have to use it.

I had mine painted on with gold paint I had used for trim on my Corvette.

A few years ago I was watching a show about off-grid living; this couple was living in the desert, with the only view of desert and a bit of scrub brush as far as one could see. They commented "Just love the view here!"
