Any chance the change in feel is a change in perception caused by driving a different vehicle for 3 months? Perhaps a non hybrid? If the dealer had reassembled something incorrectly it likely would have failed in the 4 weeks since the repair, depending on the amount you drive, of course.
The...
Did mine at 30k miles and it didn't need it. 50k miles I would change it, then again at 100, etc. to be pro active. The Ecvt is easier on fluid than a conventional auto or cvt.
It isn't difficult, if you can do an engine oil change you can change it. $490 is a lot for a 20 minute job and the...
Agreed. Obviously the tech features that are becoming more ubiquitous attract a large demographic. A bigger screen and more driving assist options must confer some social status, or allow the driver to disconnect even more from actually driving.
The dash on the Mustang makes me want to...
Had a similar experience one time on our '22 hybrid a couple of years ago. Dead (3v) battery. Pulled the battery to charge it, smart charger wouldn't start due to low voltage, but old school charger brought it up. Had no further issues with that original battery, but changed it months later...
Awesome write up! Did this on our '22 before the first winter. An advantage in the snow belt is they move enough that the snow and frozen slush fall off, unlike the solid flaps with the lip on the bottom.
Cheers.
The fluid can be changed from the reservoir through wheel cylinders with a vacuum bleeder, like normal. You just won't be swapping out the fluid in the electric brake booster. Remove the neg. battery cable to ensure the brakes don't actuate, and pump the pedal before hooking it back up.
Cheers.
Young woman in the service department at the local dealer mentioned (unprompted) that Escape rear diffs. seem to be problematic, even under warranty distances.
Oil and grease is cheap parts.
Cheers.
Our '22 was flinging grease out from new, all over the k member and pan. Had it changed under warranty at just under 80k km's when having a timing cover leak repaired. The shaft was working fine. It takes such a minute amount of fluid to make that stain that I would wait until close to the end...
Sorry for your loss Barbara.
It's not you, the Maverick seems like a particularly odd vehicle to park, for its size. Not sure what it is about it, just a combination of things. There have been other posts on this topic.
Lots harder than a Prius for sure. Don't sweat the dents, enjoy the...
Glad you got in on the dashcam, it's exactly what ours does. Puts the lie to the "it's normal hybrid operation" theory.
Similar scenario, cool temps., relatively short stop. As Darryl mentions it seems to be related to engine temp. at start up as well. My guess would be another parameter is...
Sounds like a really bad experience all around.
Don't mean to add salt to the wound, but IIRC the TSB you had performed was the early (and now perhaps current) repair for a detached 12v eyelet at the fuse box junction. Ford had a no charge customer satisfaction initiative, for a period of...
