I had the larger of the two on but it wasn't sitting right so I put the smaller one on and it looks like it's pushing the seal up and leaving a gap. I didn't know if anyone else had that issue. I was thinking about taking the other strip off and see if it would sit flat.
Mine had 8. Usually when they come off the truck they have between 2 and 10 on them. Most dealers have a set "test drive" route the techs are supposed to take them on to test everything no unusual noises check the cruise control get it up to normal operating temp, make sure everything is good.So...

Agree, 1 to 5 thousand, possibly more if it's an expensive vehicle that's hard to come by right now. Plus around 1200 or so if you get all the "add ons" tint, nitro, pulse, window etching ect.
I've found a similar method that works every time.
Step one, get in vehicle.
Step two, buckle seat belt.
That's it, no annoying noise or dash lights. Problem solved.
Yes, tailgate has to be closed pretty hard, hopefully after some use it will break in some. I had to set mine as far forward as it would go so the tailgate would close, so the front weather strip is tucked under the back window. As far as the metal, I noticed on the underside every single slat...
