Some of the bolts they remove when dropping the tank are considered one time use, so once they take them out they have to replace them, mine is waiting on the same thing.

Shipped October 6th, arrived December 23rd. Still sitting at dealer waiting on fuel tank recall.

It showed up today! Has the fuel tank recall and will be next week till that's done but I'll be out of town all next week but it's finally here. Got the new tires on it. I did notice the front tow hook is bent so a replacement was ordered.

Ford put out the repair information for this recall today.

I think the stop ship may have finally been removed on mine, shipped 10/7. Every time for the past 2 months when I check palsapp it showed origin vin and freight bill, everything else was null or pending. This morning it had a destination and dealership name. So hopefully that would mean stop...

It was sent to dealerships Friday, your dealer should be able to put in your vin and tell you if it applies to your vehicle. Also work at a dealership.

There is an open recall for maverick with spray in bedliner built between may 20th and October 29th.The fuel tank has to be removed and inspected.

I wouldn't think there would be a delay for development, as they make the x2 for ford, or the hard roll up with the ford logo. Which is basically the exact same thing as the x4s with a few minor changes. My dealer said they could get one of those in a few days. I haven't canceled my order yet...

I also received an email from ford about 30 minutes ago showing delivery moved to this week even though I was told this afternoon that it was stop ship for parts hold.

There are some shady dealerships but I think for the most part it's a lack of communication ford doesn't seem to tell the dealership what's going on, took mine several days and contacting a ford rep to find out they put mine on a parts hold...after it already shipped.
