  1. Some 22MY Mavericks may get pushed to MY23

Well all over Facebook groups people are complaining that Ford is building XL's and plain XLT's instead of Lariats. :):)
  2. Ford Vows to Clean Up Quality Issues as Recalls Hit Hard

Toyota just recalled all BZ4X's because the wheels are falling off.................
  3. Some 22MY Mavericks may get pushed to MY23

I would not ask about it, they might find the order and send it to scheduling. It would fly through, no computer chips in that baby!
  4. Some 22MY Mavericks may get pushed to MY23

Appears to me they stopped taking orders when they reached what they thought at the time was all they could build this year. Stopped hybrid orders in November and ECO orders January 27th. How is that indiscriminate? If they can't get parts they can't build trucks. Word I heard back in...
  5. How did you first hear about the Ford Maverick?

I was researching vehicles that could be towed 4 wheels down behind our motorhome. Checking the Ford Towing Guide to see which models could be towed and came across the Maverick. I had never heard of it before seeing it listed in the towing guide. Sadly, missed out on the MY22 but will be...
  6. Some 22MY Mavericks may get pushed to MY23

Read recently that auto industry in USA produced 2.2 million LESS vehicles in 1st quarter 2022. Reasons given were COVID / parts shortage / shipping delays / etc. So, Ford's 300k backlog seems in line. Wonder where demand would be for Maverick if they had been able to produce at normal...
  7. Mine is dead now too (early build Hybrid Maverick off the lot)

Possibly just the one connection BUT no way to know if other connections on that harness are also potentially faulty. So the harness itself is suspect even though only one connection has actually failed. Replacement is the only sure fix. Repairing the failed connection MIGHT be just fine in...
  8. Bed with SIBL not wide enough (barely) for 48.75" wide siding to lay flat

Thanks for the pictures. All is clear now. And yep tongue & groove material is going to be snug on that. Good to know.
  9. Bed with SIBL not wide enough (barely) for 48.75" wide siding to lay flat

Curious as well, the spec sheet says 53.3 width. So even if your sheets are 50" wide they should go with 1.5" clearance on each side. Bed liner cannot be more than maybe 1/4" thick?? Something doesn't add up.
  10. Any '23 Hybrid Maverick Hesitantcy?

No hesitation. I believe that issue is already being resolved. Several reports of a delivery hold on Mavericks to check / fix the wiring harness. Ford is aware of it and its not an engineering change just a part defect so I would think any builds as of now will not have the issue. Doesn't...
  11. Hybrid Towing Experience Without Tow Package?

I'm looking to haul a similar trailer, what was the weight if you know?
  12. Hybrid Towing Experience Without Tow Package?

Is that the dealers 'dry weight' or something more realistic such as an actual scale weighed value? If that's the so called dry weight then add in water, propane, food, books, clothes, boots and you likely have another 400lbs. 30 gallons of fresh water is 250lbs alone. I would be OK towing a...
  13. ****REGARDING DEAD HYBRID MAVERICKS ISSUE****

Not offended at all. Nice thing about opinions, everybody is entitled to one. I grew up in an era where generally if you didn't fix it yourself it didn't get fixed. Not saying my opinion is correct at all, but if it was me I would just fix the harness and move on. Probably not the smart...
  14. Finding a Maverick that isn't already spoken for

My wife and I got the opportunity to sit in one last week. Stopped at the dealer and asked if he had any Mavericks. Nope he replied. I noted that I just wanted to see one and would probably order a MY23. He sighed and admitted they did have one but I could not take it for a drive. He agreed...
  15. ****REGARDING DEAD HYBRID MAVERICKS ISSUE****

I bought my last Ford in 1979 so I don't think I qualify as a fanboy but I think you are being far too harsh. They have a problem and they are working to find a fix. It will be fixed under warranty. And a simple solution is already available to anyone who has researched the problem. The...
  16. Finding a Maverick that isn't already spoken for

That's likely what this is I supposed. Can't really blame the dealers to be honest. It takes a certain amount of sales to keep the lights on and there are not as many sales to make when they can't get inventory. They need to do everything they can to sell what they can get. I read yesterday...
  17. ****REGARDING DEAD HYBRID MAVERICKS ISSUE****

Well I'm not sure a wiring harness recall and a random check engine light qualifies as a 'bomb' but OK. I guess I was expecting more of a list of things you don't like. So outside of those things do you like the truck? Seems like it ticks all the boxes for me so looking to order one this...
  18. Finding a Maverick that isn't already spoken for

Yes. My dealer lists three different Mavericks on their website. With generic pictures but different specs. They don't actually have any of them and don't expect to get any but they do like people to walk in and ask so they have a shot at selling them something else. If you really want a...
  19. ****REGARDING DEAD HYBRID MAVERICKS ISSUE****

Curious what your concerns are? Failed wiring harness is obvious and concerning but as a potential buyer for a 2023 I would be interested in what else you don't like about the truck?
  20. When will 2023 Maverick show up Ford.com?

I certainly hope so, however @fordvideoguy noted in his podcast that he was not sure whether the order guide would be available prior to order bank open or not. He said Ford has done it both ways in the past. He also noted if the guide wasn't available prior things might be a bit of a mess on...
