  1. I just was emailed that I will not receive my order, ever, after 9 months of waiting

That is simply not true. Your MY22 order needs to stay in place. You put in a new MY23 order on August 2 and that order is connected to your MY22 order and the MY23 order gets your MY22 order date and place in line. This has been talked about many times on this forum, on Facebook, on...
  2. News from the wild.

    Exactly:):)
  3. Dash Cam

Any chance you dislodged the power wire to the front camera when you hooked up the dash cam? No power to the sensor = fault?
  4. News from the wild.

I actually saw one this week. It pulled out in front of us and I saw the name on the tail gate. Started yelling at my wife to speed up so I could get a look at it. But she just thought I was nuts. Of course she always thinks that...........................
  5. Email of Death

If door #3 is correct then you need to be at your dealer on Tuesday. Ask to see the VIN so you can track it's progress. I do not know how much delay there is between 'scheduled' and having a VIN issued. It might be minutes or a few hours or a few days. Throw in the holiday weekend and maybe...
  6. Email of Death

August 2nd is a month away........... So no it doesn't make sense. Either: - Your dealer screwed up and never put your order in - Your order is scheduled and will be built as a 2022 - Your dealer is lying and it is not scheduled so it rolls over to a 2023 So why would you wait until after...
  7. Email of Death

How does that even make sense? If they said your Mav is scheduled then it will be produced. If its not then you move your order to a 2023 and get a discount to 2022 prices.
  8. I just was emailed that I will not receive my order, ever, after 9 months of waiting

If that is true its because your dealer failed to properly submit your order. More likely you need to re-read the email, the one most people received explains that yes you will need to place a 2023 order but if you have a valid 2022 order you will hold your place in line and receive a 'private...
  9. What Steps should I take to order a Maverick this summer ?

It appears that Ford grossly underestimated demand for the hybrid. When they were getting ready to launch the Maverick gas (in the US) was under $2.50/gallon. Average now is over $4.75 and higher in some places. Note that the standard engine on the Maverick is the hybrid. They now have a...
  10. Dealers not responding to purchase truck. Why?

There are. But it has nothing to do with Ford. The dealer knows a potential customer can go to any dealer to order. So they don't want to let you get away. Once they have your deposit in hand you are much less likely to go elsewhere. But I doubt putting down a deposit and getting on some...
  11. This is the e-mail coming at 3PM today (6/29) to unscheduled order holders

They did. A long time ago. Based on what they knew back then. Situation on computer chips was supposed to get better. It hasn't, it has gotten worse. Ever try to project inventory needs 12 months out or even 6 months out? During a pandemic and global shipping snafu? No? I didn't think so...
  12. This is the e-mail coming at 3PM today (6/29) to unscheduled order holders

That seems to change over time. @fordvideoguy often mentions common ones in his videos. Your dealer should be able to look your order up and tell you precisely what things on your order is constrained.
  13. I just got the email of doom.

Not necessarily. If you roll your order into a MY23 you could still receive it in 2022 (November or December) but would get a MY23 with whatever new options might be available. Personally at this point I think I would be glad it was going to be a MY23 instead of a MY22.
  14. This is the e-mail coming at 3PM today (6/29) to unscheduled order holders

The way I read this is that anyone who has a MY22 order that does not get built will need to re-order as a MY23. So no automatic roll-over. However: The 'order bank' will open internally on August 2nd. Maybe to allow dealers to enter 'roll-over' orders? The 2023 order bank will open August...
  15. Ford customer service claims emails coming this week for those getting bumped to 2023 Maverick

Per the text the actual email won't go out until 3pm EDT. This looks like an internal memo. Maybe to dealers??
  16. 2023 Maverick website preview link

Well they do have to get some orders in hand to build next spring right?
  17. Rumor Mill: PHEV AWD Maverick (Plug In Hybrid)

Well, that is certainly one way to pick the worst possible scenario. :):):) Sort of like saying it would be difficult to travel through rural Montana towing a trailer in a Model T in 1908............. But obviously you are correct. The infrastructure is not there yet for long distance trips...
  18. Rumor Mill: PHEV AWD Maverick (Plug In Hybrid)

23% 48% 11% 39% 71% It sorta depends on which survey you read.........:) So take your pick. Considering that 5 years ago hardly anyone had even heard of an EV, I am personally surprised that a significant number of people are at least interested in buying one. Lots of things holding people...
  19. Contradictory Information From Salesman and Ford

Ask your dealer how many unscheduled Mavericks they have on order. The code range 10-19 only moves you up or down within your dealer's allocations, not Fords. If your dealer only has your order then the priority code doesn't matter. But if they have a lot on order and you are a 19 then other...
  20. Rumor Mill: PHEV AWD Maverick (Plug In Hybrid)

Curious why not? Not trying to start an argument, I am considering an EV for our next vehicle (after the Maverick) and would like to see what people's objections to EVs are. Obviously not for everybody, at least not right now.
