My mistake, I thought that post indicated it should have been on the window sticker. So you have to wait on the mail. Which is really, really unreliable lately.
That is federal law. Not Ford.
What is confusing is that the dealer cannot just print a new window sticker instead of waiting on the mail. Can you access your window sticker online from your Ford email or account? If you can, check if it is the updated one. If so, print it out and take it...
Not just Ford. :)
But lifespan has a cost and that has to be factored in. Standby battery for house or for grid balancing should have very long lifespan. Battery for a car should match the expected lifespan of the car.
Also, lifespan on a battery is related to your tolerance for reduced...
While I agree, Ford is not in a position to reel in dealers. In many states the dealers have the upper hand. It is a difficult position at best. Ford is (I think) aware and trying but the antiquated dealer system is not going to go away easily.
Ordered - 9/16/22
Built - 12/3/22
Shipped - 12/6/22
Still waiting for delivery. 75 days in shipping. Dealer says their tracking app showed it entered the US on 12/9/22. The app now shows it in Portland, Oregon. No other information available.
Ford has plenty of problems and shipping is one...
Not yet. The Salton Sea facilities alone are projected to supply all US needs once they ramp up. Plus, a mine in Nevada and one in Canada under development but not online yet. Plus, massive reserves in Wyoming, discovered but not even in planning stage yet. USA is listed as being #4 in the...

Still on a rail car. Still waiting.....................
I completely agree. But that doesn't make my statement any less true. PC is the absolute least important item. But in this case, the OP has had his order in for 16 months? I'm inclined to think there is a problem at the dealer. And about the only thing the dealer can affect is the priority...
Sure it is, that is what the priority code system is for. Do they get to pick a specific order? No. But they can micky the priority codes to make it happen if they want. They put the OP at priority 12. If they had newer hybrid XL orders that they put at priority 10 then that order goes...
I am completely baffled by how a few people are STILL waiting for their trucks. Easy to blame Ford and to be honest their allocation system is the root problem. But it was never designed for a situation like this. So I have to think this has to be on the dealer. If your dealer had an...
Not necessarily, the USA has very large reserves of lithium, we just never developed them because importing was cheaper. The Salton Sea alone is predicted to be able to supply all USA lithium needs for at least 40 years. And lithium is only the current battery chemistry, I suspect it gets...
We bought a motorhome years ago and went through the "what should I buy for it until it arrives" syndrome. Turns out about half the stuff we thought we needed, we didn't, some ended up not fitting and others wrong color or just didn't match. Not going to repeat that mistake.
So don't buy...
- Grabbing hybrid brakes at low speed has been fixed with a TSB for 2022 model. No sign it is an issue on the few 2023's that have been delivered.
- Defective wiring harness is no longer an issue, build dates when it is a problem have been posted someplace but I can't find that right now. I...
Easiest answer is to put your vin into Carvana, Carmax or whatever and get an average. That gives you some idea anyway. If selling privately that's a good start. A dealer isn't going to give you that much in my experience but Maverick's are still hard to come by so who knows.
I'm not sure their purpose here is to actually 'help' anyone. They monitor problem threads and report to higher or add reports to a problem ticket / list of some sort. Also give some simple advice when appropriate.
Expecting actual 'help' on a non-corporate forum is a fantasy, no company is...
I am working on the assumption that they will be less likely to do something shady to a face they know. So I have now been back to 'visit' 4 times since I placed the order. Even made a point to ask for a look at a Mach-e they had on the lot. My wife was looking for a new car so not a waste of...
Yes, time for a new visit to the dealer. Time consuming and aggravating but that is what you need to do. I wonder if you can arrange to go on a test drive with the tech to demonstrate the issue?
If not cold start and not brake software update then I think I saw here an issue where the...
