  1. Tacoma or Maverick?

+1 I would take my Prius to most places people call "off roading". LOL
  2. SIBL & Cleat Tie Down Kit C...

That makes no sense. Ford is way under capacity for that package and offering a discount to encourage people to add it. I would ask the sales person for more information on that. Remember they have been told for almost a year to drop SIBL to get their orders built, maybe he is just relying on...
  3. 2022 VIN Rollovers to 2023 Scheduled to Production - anyone else?

Try a different browser. That page is hinky. Best results I have had are either Firefox or an InPrivate window in MS Edge. Regular Edge would not work at all for me.
  4. The Price Bubble is Popping (like my knees in spring)

I haven't asked. My salesman texted me it's location when it left the border but that's all I have heard since. With holidays and so on just figured watching a rail car move was maybe a distraction from family stuff. :)
  5. The Price Bubble is Popping (like my knees in spring)

Congrats that's awesome. What was your ship date? Mine was 12/6. Ours might be on the same train. I was told it was going to Portland, but Seattle makes more sense for mine.
  6. The Price Bubble is Popping (like my knees in spring)

New 2023 order. Never even heard of a Maverick until August 2022 87k but were those all retail orders? Wondering where fleet orders fit in. If they are not part of that 87k I can see 25 - 30k for fleet orders which puts them back in the range of 2022 production. Ford has never said anywhere...
  7. The Price Bubble is Popping (like my knees in spring)

Keep in mind they split the Copilot into two packages. For the full feature set you need both. Might want to review what the packages contain to be sure you are getting what you thought. I didn't want the moonroof. Left off bed liner as its easy to get locally. Mine is Carbonized gray, LOL...
  8. The Price Bubble is Popping (like my knees in spring)

I'm still in shock to be honest. I expected May or June delivery. Long story but because of the confusion during 9/15 over whether the order banks were open I ended up being the first 2023 order placed at my dealer. The dealer had a bunch of 2022 roll overs but with the time it took to get...
  9. No hope. Anyone else feel this way?

He didn't ask. Then got mad because they didn't offer. Why would the dealer even think to share that information? This has nothing to do with whether the dealer SHOULD share, they were never asked to share.
  10. The Price Bubble is Popping (like my knees in spring)

I have the ultimate unicorn. New 2023 order, hybrid, lariat, lux, cp360, cp360+. Ordered 9/16, built 12/3, shipped 12/6. But missing in action since 12/6.............................
  11. Food for thought ( if you might be tired of waiting on a maverick )

Generally most likely true. For me the Maverick ticked all the boxes. I don't want or need a big truck so the smaller the better as long as I can haul a few sheets of plywood when I need to. Price, mileage, flat towing, fits in the garage, can tow my small trailer, seats 4, sits up higher...
  12. The Price Bubble is Popping (like my knees in spring)

LOL. My Maverick is on a train between Hermosillo and Portland so I guess the answer is 'nothing yet' :)
  13. Confusion: 12v Battery Connections Under the Hybrid Hood

Yes, I've seen that and understand the concern. It is becoming a concern for me as well, just something I never thought would be a problem. I am wondering if this is a real world issue or just something that happens when something else is wrong. For example many (most?) of the complaints I...
  14. The Price Bubble is Popping (like my knees in spring)

Agree 100% on that. And you are right, hybrids are slim pickings. But I've seen plenty of people finally get lucky so keep trying!
  15. The Price Bubble is Popping (like my knees in spring)

There have been dealers selling at MSRP all along. You just need to search them out. Sometimes at a distance but good honest dealers have always been there. Best way to get a Maverick if you missed the order window is go, physically, to a number of dealers and get yourself on the list for one...
  16. Food for thought ( if you might be tired of waiting on a maverick )

    - yes, correct flat towing. If you are snowbirds and make one trip south / north each year a tow dolly is completely fine. But if you camp at county / state /national parks they are a real pain. You have to locate a good flat spot to unload and then deal with the dolly after you unload. It...
  17. Food for thought ( if you might be tired of waiting on a maverick )

Maverick: - great mileage - can be towed behind our motorhome - can haul a sheet of plywood - open bed for hauling trash / mulch / brush / whatever Corolla: - great mileage - cannot be towed - cannot haul a sheet of plywood - no open bed I'll give you the Corolla is probably a better built...
  18. Confusion: 12v Battery Connections Under the Hybrid Hood

Yeah you are likely correct. Just this is my first new vehicle in a good while so have not run into that before. Seems to me though that if they have all these electronic gizmos using power they would at least use a full size battery instead of the little one in the Maverick. I thought it was...
  19. No hope. Anyone else feel this way?

My granddaughter told me unicorns like it sunny and warm. She is very up on the things so I'm sure she has it correct. She told me the magic comes from the sunlight. Guess that's why there aren't too many in the PNW................ I'm going to put grow lights in the garage to keep mine...
  20. Confusion: 12v Battery Connections Under the Hybrid Hood

Wow, I didn't know that. Guess I will have to look into that. The Maverick will be my daily driver so I doubt it will ever sit long but still, that's crazy different. What were they thinking?????????
