Wow, actually, I really like that red on white. If colors outside the greyscale are not allowed in the base trim, I would seriously consider getting white just to have it wrapped that way.
White looks filthy just from water spots after a light rain! White is the easiest to find the dirt and remove it, but you'll see every fleck or mud, until you clean it. The only color worse than white, for keeping dirt from showing etc, might be black. Keeping gloss black looking sharp is a part...
I would pay the extra 395-595 to get a color, Cyber Orange or Alto Blue maybe, but if base models get stuck with black, white, silver, grey I cant see paying for a higher trim level AND still paying for a "special" paint. At that point I'd probably get white and pay someone to wrap it the color i want.
That is a good point, the Escape is the cheaper of the two, and it's base MSRP is still about 5k more than target for the Maverick. Those savings gotta come from somewhere...
I completely agree, however as time goes by, speculation keeps leaning more and more to the two turbo options only. The NA 2.0 would be cheaper for a base MSRP vehicle sub 20k, but i think they're still gonna go turbo only to get their fleet MPGs up, due to the constantly stricter government...
I gotta say, that was very impressive, I'm still on the fence about preferring a turbo engine, but if that's all that's available I do feel a bit more confident in them now. Great video, thanks for sharing!
Agreed, my newest car is currently a 2003, im not sure I trust the longevity of a turbo. Everyone seems worried about replacing a timing belt at 150k miles but no one's batting an eye at the cost of a turbo around 100k.
To my untrained eyes, the Ranger looks 6-8 inches taller, other than that i dont see much of a difference, 20k msrp seems like a great deal on the Maverick if it's that similarly proportioned.
I was a Ford dealer for a year, so at least at my location, I can tell you how people got new cars at cost. First you have to know exactly what you want, every option, etc. Write an email to the closest 5 Fords or so something like this.
Dear X Ford dealer,
Im interested in a new 2022 Maverick...
