With a huge list of new equipment, scheduled to be mandatory as early as 2026, how much do you think the price of the average vehicle will rise?

The only mistake Ford made on the Maverick is not offering an AWD Hybrid option. I didn't buy because i didn't want to give up the 4x4 in my Explorer, nor do i want to pay extra for an upgraded engine, just to lose MPGs and gain unneeded towing capacity.
I'd prefer they spend their time working on hybrid AWD version before they try to get fancy. I bet there's a lot more people hoping for that than a $40k off-road toy.
Ford probably got overwhelmed by Ecoboost 4K orders because the hybrids are taking so long to start building. And really, who wants to pay for the upgraded engine, and NOT have decent towing either? If the hybrids were available, the 2.0 orders would be less, and the 4K option would've been...
I have very basic needs in mind, I just need a Supercrew with 4x4 or AWD, anything else is a bonus.
33,165 for a Ranger
24,795 for Maverick
$8,370 price difference
I personally can't justify the Ranger just based on these current numbers. If they make a hybrid AWD next year I could save an...
I'll just say what everyone else is saying about the CC, I get that a 20k truck wont come with everything I want, but i want the option for an additional charge. Yes, a 2.0 is available w AWD, but $3300 is a big step up on a 20k truck. And it also only gets like 24 MPGs which is a big step down...
Everyone saying the elephant is CC, and I'm over here like, what about the lack of AWD on the hybrid? If CC is the elephant then no AWD hybrid is the blue whale in the room. It's cheaper to step up to XLT than to XL with 2.0 and AWD!!
Thanks for the info! I am not in the area, I'm a bit outside Chicago, but the Granger Ford dealer is willing to ship. Not sure when I will be able to afford a new Mav but knowing invoice prices helps in planning.
My biggest issue is that there's no AWD or 4x4 option with the base engine, that said, i wouldve preferred that the base be a non-turbo for ease of maintenance and lower repair costs. Since they did go hybrid as the base, it's a bit disappointing its not a plug in, even with a short all electric...
35, one kid so far, would mostly use this as a gas saving daily driver and 100cc dirt bike hauler. I've never bought even close to a new car before, my current lineup is a 72 super beetle, 02 Explorer, and 03 Marauder, but I'm finally at a point in my career that i can afford one, and Ford is...
Yeah, I can't set up a charging station in my rental home's garage, so this would be useless for me. A plug-in hybrid would be kinda neat though, so plugging it in wouldn't be necessary, but I could take advantage of the free charging stations around town occasionally too.
Does anyone else find the 2.0 AWD MPGs to be lackluster? My 02 Explorer V6 4.0 4x4 is rated 16/21. For the 2.0 being half the displacement, two thirds the cylinders, being turbo, and in a significantly lighter and more modern vehicle, I really expected those numbers closer to 30.
Granger Ford, is 3% under invoice how you sell all new Ford's, all year long? Or is this a special for preorders for new debut vehicles only? In the next year or so my parents will be looking for a new Explorer, and I might not be able to get a new Mav till 2022, 2023 model year.
