A '26 Lariat hybrid with 4k equipped like my '24 (sunroof, hard tonneau, etc) is around $8k more, but the upgrade (to AWD and 4K) may well be worth it to some. At $45k Ford might be asking a little too much but then again there isn't much competition if you're looking for a fuel efficient...
Reminds me of the Altezza era 20 years ago. First ones look cool, then it gets old quickly. Once you see the manufacturers making them OEM (Altezza: Ford Fusion, various Mitsubishis, Lexas, Nissan Altima, etc) the fad has passed...
68; my Maverick is my 2nd truck. My first was an '88 Nissan King Cab SE-V6 that served me well for 13 years; replace by a Trooper (2001-2013), and then an Outback (2013-2024)...I usually take my vehicles to 250k miles when I begin the process of "what's next". The moment Ford announced the...
"Once you get above that, there are MANY better equipped, more capable, better materials, better ride pickups to choose from at the same price point." Can you name any? Better equipped? Better ride?
Iāll take it. When my Maverick was getting collision repair last month, I had an Escape plug-in for 2 weeks. Loved it. Is was perfect for my daily commute; I only used gas one weekend where drove to the lake and back (120 miles) and even then I still got 42-43 mpgs when the battery ran out.
Houston here. The Wild West of highways...every commute is a Defensive Battle Tactics type day. In the 15 months I've had my Maverick, I've been hit in the back twice. Once was crowded highway, my lane suddenly stopped and the guy behind me wasn't as good as the rest of us at it (nice guy, very...
Would definitely buy mine again, although this time I'd upgrade to the '25 AWD 4k tow hybrid. It's been a great vehicle these first 17k miles, and very reasonable 42.4 mpg lifetime. I'm a big guy (6'3", 200#) and I'm very comfortable.
I have a friend who's 2020 Santa Fe engine went at 115k. Disappointing to say the least - they're a working family with 2 small kids, and a reliable car is always needed. While yes it was outside of the 100k warranty, again - you should expect 175-200k miles easily these days with proper...
My guess is replacement hybrid batteries will fall to the $1500-2000 range like they have for the Prius. It's also a 2.5-3 hour DIY job on a Prius; the Maverick battery seems much more easily accessible.
Greetings all. My ā24 Hybrid Lariat has approximately 16k miles on it. I love my truck! Lately though it seems the back left corner of the driver seat has become very uncomfortable, like a lump is below. I thought I was being hypersensitive, but it really has become uncomfortable. What could...
