I'm extremely pleased with my '24 Lariat hybrid. I was expecting 38-40 mpgs overall average, and after 15k miles my lifetime is 42.3. Compared to the 2.5 Outback it replaced, that's a 17 mpg increase. A couple of minor annoyances, for sure - to me "Lariat" means a certain level of creature...
The new front end is growing on me. It's crossed over from "no thanks" to "alright". But not crazy about losing the interior HVAC buttons for a bigger screen. My dinky screen is just fine for my needs.
If you use the mpg coach, it should tell you the gas/electric balance when you shut down. I've put 15k miles on mine in the last year; most of it commuting 35 miles round trip daily, combo highway/local streets. I've very pleased with my 42.3 mpg 'lifetime'; about a third of the miles in...
Congrats, and thanks for a great review.
" The shifter dial – This doesn’t bother me like I was afraid it would, but I still habitually reach for a lever ". lol - I too have no problem with the dial....but not long after I got my Maverick, my daughter and I were leaving her apartment parking...
I see the Maverick and Ranger as totally different beasts, both serving a purpose. If I was an off-roading kind of guy or used my truck consistently for work/hauling purposes, I wouldn't consider the Maverick.
Conversely, if I was looking for a daily commuter with occasional light duty/Lowe's...
If this comment was tongue in cheek, well done. If not, I’d research Elon’s contribution to the environment in Texas. The biggest reason he moved his operations there was because he wants to operate unshackled, and Texas will gladly accommodate that. California wouldn’t. As a Texan, the threats...
Greetings all! A few months ago I had a minor hit in the back. Repairs were made, including replacing the left rear parking sensor. Despite juice getting to all points, we still get a failure message on the dash. I’ve read through the PAM and FORscan threads, and maybe I missed it. How do we...
Understand your sentiment, but often these puff pieces will provide some vital information. FWIW, I think C&D gushing over the Maverick is because 4 years after its introduction and 3 after it started production, the demand and popularity for this size vehicle remains high, proving Ford took a...
My Maverick supplanted my 2013 Outback Limited with 225k miles. The Outback is relegated to vacation home duty, replacing its predecessor, a 2001 Isuzu Trooper. The Trooper, still in good shape, was donated to a local tech high school.
I would have bought another Outback in a heartbeat if the...
That’s been the lore for decades. Subaru’s clientele skews gay, progressive, higher income and higher education than most brands. They let me buy one anyway.
