  1. Ford air tunnel testing: tailgate myth and tonneau cover (aerodynamics / MPG)

Ecomodder. User stated it was University of Texas study ?
  2. Oil Change Indicator Came on - Dealership refuses to change oil under service plan.

Just schedule your oil change. When it comes time to pay, you show them your prepaid plan and walk out.
  3. Build: Cactus Gray Maverick with XPEL Stealth PPF Wrap

It looks damn awesome. Badass too. But eff me if I'd spend that much cash for looks. Tell me it increases your hwy mpg by 5% and I'll make a spreadsheet up to justify the cost, though :geek:
  4. Ford air tunnel testing: tailgate myth and tonneau cover (aerodynamics / MPG)

I'd wager its more likely a 7.7% improvement to drag and not 7.7% direct mpg improvement.
  5. MY23 Maverick XLT Visibility sucks!

We've done the same with a RAV4 and Prius - many new vehicles have this issue.
  6. MY23 Maverick XLT Visibility sucks!

Much harder to meet safety standards with skinny A C pillars and lots of glass. Subarus have continued to provide good viz (esp. Forester) and high ratings, though. If they had offered a Forester or Outback with AWD and a Rav4 hybrid engine (or equivalent) - that'd be in our driveway vs our...
  7. Bad Axles

Surprised you got a warranty replacement.
  8. 2023 MY Price Protection

  9. CACTUS GRAY Maverick Photos Thread

Those look good, but Bronco Sport Big Bend takeoffs or other BS ones are a much better value and also look great.
  10. Id rather have a PHEV Maverick

They could also go Toyota's route with the Rav Rav4 Prime - AWD + 300 hp + $ vs hybrid People line up to buy b/c MOAR POWER outweighs more money lol The lighter/smaller unibody platform of the Mav makes more sense for a PHEV vs a Ranger or F150. Escape already has one (FWD only, though). Keep...
  11. If they made a full EV Maverick, would you buy, switch? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I'd like a plug-in Mav that does 20-40 miles of fully electric, but ONLY if the increase in MSRP is the same as the EV tax credit. I'm too cheap to overpay for PHEV or EV when a cheaper, efficient hybrid makes more sense. I did buy a Rav4 Prime before prices got crazy - drove it for 9 months...
  12. Finally!!!

If only you had some free time to research these questions. Guess 53 weeks wasn't enough. :-/ I'll beat someone to it - "Surfer on Surfer crime?!"
  13. 24' Mav Ecoboost XL or 24' Tacoma SR? - Battle of the Base Models

If you need ACC, Toyota might still be putting that into every trim. For Mav's its a $10k "option".
  14. 800+ miles per tank club!!!

There's plenty of room in the bed for a fuel can. Much cheaper and easier "mod".
  15. Maverick is like a Flex

My 1.8L turbo gas 2016 Golf Sportwagen held as much cargo as a CX5, but I averaged 38 mpg.(epa was 35 hwy). Fun to drive, cheap to own. VW stopped selling wagons here for the same reason Ford stopped sedans - 'muricans won't buy 'em. Not because they won't meet CAFE standards. The remaining...
