I at least learned a new word "tribology".
I've never thought about main bearings moving. I always thought they were stationary and the crankshaft moved.
But what do I know?
Interesting.
#1 Says "might not". So inconclusive.
#2 Says "can lead" and " potential". I call that vague.
#3 Says "might not". Not very certain
#4 Says "repeatedly cranking the engine without starting" Who would do that? I still don't think it hurts anything.
I see that you disagree...
That doesn't make any sense at all. Do you think when doing cranking only the engine is under the same stress as when it's firing?
Partially filling the oil filter and starting the engine is better? So running with a little bit of air is fine? Maybe but it doesn't hurt to spin the engine...
I look back and laugh now at tracking my Maverick shipment. I was not happy when Vinview showed my Maverick was in Nebraska instead of California where it belonged.
So it took longer that I hoped and liked but I'm sure happy with my Maverick now that I have it.

Perhaps you should not do business with them and chose another company to spend your money with. Life is too short to be so angry about things that you can control with you choices.
I care about dealers because that's where we can get service, warranty repairs and parts.
I'm sorry that you've had a bad experience with buying a Ford but not everyone has had the same experiences as you.
My experience has been great and I thoroughly injoy my FX4 Maverick.
Yep. The buyer is getting what they pay for.
I can understand the disappointment of not getting the same exact order for the same exact price but that's the way things go sometimes.
Overall it looks like most people come out ahead or only pay a little bit more for a similar order.
So it looks like most people will either come out ahead or pay a little bit more under this private offer.
The only people that will have to pay a significant amount more are the people who ordered a basic Lariat non lux package, no co pilot 360 and no 360 assist. They will have to add all of...
Here's one more picture showing my 5 cup Mr Coffee maker powered by one of my power stations. I like to get up early and have some coffee. Recharged the power station with portable folding solar panels.
